Travis Walton Abduction Tapes

​Hot on the heels of Mike Rogers' confession that the Walton abduction was a hoax, here are the archived recordings made at the time of various phone calls, while Travis was missing and immediately after his return.

A few notes:

• While Travis was missing, friends and family of Travis are calling UFO organizations, talking up local reporting on the disappearance, which led to people in those organizations discussing the case among themselves.
• They were working "a little extra late that night" - that is, it was unusual for them to work that late.
• Mike Rogers kept passing out(?!) - a fact that has not been talked about since to my knowledge.
• People started calling in with UFO sightings of their own - "this is the hotspot of the nation right now" - once word got out that Travis & co. had seen a UFO.
• Travis's step-brother Ralph, after Travis was released, reports that Travis said "the people [aliens] were cruel" - more recently, Travis has taken pains to portray the aliens as having saved his life after their beam inadvertently killed him.
• Ralph explains that Travis's mother knew "he was definitely coming back" and "we all knew it" - an odd attitude indeed when your son goes missing and is suspected of having been murdered by his co-workers.
